For an awesome 35 years La Jolie Ronde has been teaching nursery and primary school-age children foreign languages, holding weekly classes and supplying Key Stage 1 and 2 language teaching resources to young children across the country. The principle of the company is to get the wee'uns involved in French and Spanish from an early age by using repetition on a weekly basis and introducing the selected language through lots of fun games, activities, and songs. The company has been so successful that there are now more than 1,660 classes running outside of school hours spanning across the UK and Ireland, of which there are currently around 20,500 children with a membership at La Jolie Ronde, in the hands of around 560 fantastic tutors.

Mala Henry, Marketing Manager for La Jolie Ronde discussed the importance of languages for children noting that “Children are like sponges and pick up the authentic French or Spanish accent and pronunciation with ease. Our popular classes, using the tried and tested La Jolie Ronde methodology, revolve around making the sessions enjoyable by learning through interactive songs, games, stories, rhymes and role-plays without any pressure. The children we teach are simply having fun with their friends and learning a new language at the same time without even realising it”.

This is the fifth year running that La Jolie Ronde has won in the Best National Licensed Activity for 5-12 year olds category, winning against some stiff competition in the form of a language learning activity; Kidslingo, The Creation Station, Make Believe and Razzamataz Theatre School.

The What’s on for Kids Awards, now in its twelfth year, asked parents and children to nominate their favourite weekend and after-school activities.  There were no limitations to the activities which could be chosen and the response to this request was fantastic as a huge 70,000 votes were recorded this year.

The awards were held in London on 3rd of October, at a Finalists Awards Ceremony which was hosted by NatWest. Among other VIP guests in attendance were the BAFTA award winning children’s entertainers Dick & Dom, (that's right, the chaps who used to yell "Bogies" on the telly).

La Jolie Ronde’s General Manager, Steve Baker explained that “Winning this award for the 5th year in a row brings with it a great deal of pride. 2018 was an exceptional year with voting very fierce across all the categories, right up to the end, so thank you to everyone who voted.  We have once again demonstrated how popular our language classes are with parents and carers and the children we teach”.

La Jolie Ronde continues its excellent work by offering parents a renowned and award winning brand with a methodology with 3 and a half decades of development.
