6 Great Tapas Restaurants in Nottingham

11 October 18 words: Joe Robinson

Do you ever fancy a meal out but just can’t justify the lengthy restaurant experience? Or perhaps you have a real hankering for an evening filled with plate after tiny plate of spanish dreams? Well you’re in for a treat, as we’ve compiled a list of all the best Tapas joints in Notts...

It all started after one trip to Barcelona. Baresca offers awesome Catalonian food right on your doorstep, and is perfect for that pre-cinema bite to eat. As they're open all day, this place has an extensive breakfast menu, party menu, vegan menu and even a Sunday roast spesh. Get yourself down there for a tortilla slice.

Bar Iberico
If you’re looking for a quick feed over a couple bevs’ with your mates, make a bee line for this little gem. This is the place for filling up in a flash; there's a menu rapido and all, where you can grab two tapas dishes and some sourdough served with olive oil or balsamic vinegar. Tasty stuff.

Looking to really treat yoursen? Head over to our previous entrant's big brother. With an exclusive menu of decadent dishes from every corner of Spain, you are sure to find a dish that’ll steal your bleddy heart, or tastebuds. You might have to shell out for a few extra peanuts for this one, but trust us when we say it's well worth it.

The Embankment
“But it’s a pub?” We hear you say. Yes it’s a pub, but not just any old pub; this one offers a bangin’ selection Tapas dishes. Situated on Arkwright Street, just our side of the River Trent, this beautiful Georgian building was once the Boots social club, where bossman Jesse Boot’s office still remains today. Also, there’s an impressive set of craft beers on tap. What more could you want.

If yer rootin’ for summat with a little more of an alternative vibe, look to Barrio. This place supplies some awesome rustic Spanish food that you just can’t go wrong with. Highlights include the Albondigas and the Arroz el Horno.

West Bridgford’s tapas destination offers you a wide array of little plates to satisfy yersen. On Sunday’s you can also indulge in some live music with your tapas, making it the perfect weekend date night.
