The fun doesn’t stop there tho, as confetti cannons, bubbles, giant balloons and even a parachute will feature - but we’re not sure who will enjoy these more, you silly adults or the little uns’. What? The National Justice Museum are jumping on 2018’s gin obsession by hosting a one-of-a-kind gin tasting that’s sure to teach you about more than just alcohol. The tasting is guided by four historical characters who know lots of clever things about gin and crime in the Georgian and Victorian eras. What? Get yusens down to the Royal Concert Hall for some proper 60’s bangers this Saturday night. Barry Steel, himself a proper Orbison fan, takes on the lead in this reflection on the musical career of the Big O. The show promises to be upbeat and contemporary, following Orbison’s life from his early years at Sun Records through to the late 1980s. If you’re a super fan why not don the infamous black suit and sunglasses? We’ve already got them tunes stuck in our heads… “Pretty woman, walkin’ down the street…”

Paws in the Park

Where? Rushcliffe Country Park
What? Do you have a cute doggo? Then get you and your pooch down to Rushcliffe Country Park for a super fun 5km sponsored dog walk. Not only will you get some fresh air and meet adorable pups, but you’ll be helping a fab cause - Pet’s Project. The charity helps pets and families to find safety from domestic abuse, so dig deep in your pockets! Registration is only £5, but each entry is asked to try and raise £20 in sponsorship, as Pet’s Project relies completely on public donations. Now don’t you feel like a good citizen!

Where? Sneinton Market Avenues
What? Come down to Sneinton Market this Sunday to celebrate the traditional Vietnamese mid-autumn festival run by Vietcentric. The Market will be packed with yummy street food and fun games, sure to please all the family. Why not take your kid to the additional special festive session, where they can lend a hand to traditional crafts, between 1pm-2pm for only £5. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Dragon Dance.
