We're looking for a Junior Web Developer to join the LeftLion office team in the heart of Nottingham's Creative Quarter...

We're not looking for the finished article, or even much in the way of experience. We're looking for someone who has a passion for programming and learning.

Junior Web Developer
Hours: 30-37 hours per week
Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience

In this role you will work alongside our Head of Web Development to implement web solutions for both LeftLion.co.uk and the clients of our agency LeftLion Extended.

Core Duties
 

  1. Supporting existing websites, updating content and functionality
  2. Develop both the front and back end of new websites and solutions
  3. Keep project management system up to date

Personal Skills

We’re looking for someone that has and can demonstrate the following key skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good communicator, both verbally and written
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • An interest in learning the latest web trends and their role in a commercial environment
  • Good team worker
  • A degree-level qualification in Computer Science or similar is preferable, but not essential

Technology skills

We support and build a number of websites, the majority of new sites we are building are using a combination of the following technologies, if you have knowledge, interest or even experience in some of these, all the better, we do not expect you to know all of them as training will be provided.

We currently use the following technologies

  • Umbraco CMS - which requires knowledge of C#, .Net MVC and Razor templating
  • Javascript
  • Tailwind or similar CSS frameworks
  • CSS and SASS
  • js / Nuxt framework
  • Windows Server and Centos (for hosting)
  • Asana Project management
  • Other stacks and technologies are supported and used as well but the above are our current focus.
