The lace market venue has always been a popular choice for revellers looking for a guaranteed good time when on a spontaneous night out; the type of place you can drop in to and know it’s not going to be packed full of cheese.

Always welcoming club nights, promoters and musical styles that lean to the leftfield, Bar Eleven is building its reputation by enlisting a team of solid regular events to pack out its party calendar. Alongside Saturday’s Soul Soup nights, Audiobahn will now be taking over the venue every month, kick-starting this October by inviting Bannofee Pies’ DJ Autumn to mark the start of the regular shows.

From resident DJs to resident slots, this night has always championed consistency in its events, as we found out in a previous interview with the founders, so we’re pleased as punch with this news from the fellas.

Ahead of the launch, Audiobahn had this to say:

"Growing up experiencing residents nights and world-renowned DJs in tiny sweatboxes, finding an intimate venue to throw wild parties in was non-negotiable when we started Audiobahn. This is what we love about Bar Eleven - it is small yet inviting. The DJ is on the floor, right in the midst of the party and it is venues like this that make for great nights.

"We have already had loads of great events there. Bruce stands out because of the sheer size of the party, you couldn't have had another person in there if you tried. Our winter warmer last December rings fond in the memory too, as it was the first time our residents Nikki O. & Kurty played for us and they really showed their capability as party starters that evening.

"We also love the freedom the venue gives us to bring in our own lighting and production, we are allowed to feel at home there and this helps massively when building the lighting rig that we bring for every event. We have to give full credit to the staff for this, the owner Das is so helpful as are all of the bar staff - everyone is so friendly and committed to the space. We feel the people working at the venue are just as important to a great club as the venue itself.

"We are excited for the residency as it brings some consistency to the night. People know when the next Audiobahn is now and they can plan for that, and it means we can plan as well. We can make bookings further in advance and programme our nights with a longer period of time in mind, so we feel it is a win-win for everyone and we can't wait to get started."

Audiobahn launches its Bar Eleven residency on Friday 4th October, with DJ Autumn joining residents and founders, Auld Rab & Tam O'Shanter.
