Fieldwork Film Exhibition

When? Saturday 14 - Sunday 15 September
Where? Haarlem Artspace 
What? Local filmmaker Gavin Repton has pieced together an abstract art film of three performances from last month’s Fieldwork event. The performances, including Fourthland’s Moon Scroll, portray a deep listening of nature’s voice and a bird song in dialogue, and have been mashed up into the new film. Alongside the film showing will be an exhibition, which features performance materials that borrow from the conventions of museum display. Get lost in everything the rural art event has to offer.

Where? Rough Trade
What? Are your kiddlywinks big into making Lego creations? Get em dahn to Rough Trade for a morning of building fantastic blocky creations. You can either chill out while they do the hard work, or get involved yerself. Make a tower. Make a shower. Make a Lego person with superhero powers. Whatever gets your lil sprogs’ imagination whirring. It saves your house bein’ covered in the stuff anyway. Standing on one of those boggers with bare feet can be proper painful.

Created // Art Exhibition & Acoustic Cafe

Where? St Nic’s Church
What? A two-parter event that promises to get your creative juices flowing. Kicking off the event is an exhibition showcasing art by designers and artists from across notts, including Lorna Hamilton and Emma Rees. The second half of the evening (from 6:30pm-8pm) will be filled with music and storytelling at the acoustic cafe. Appreciate the art, listen to the tunes and celebrate some of the creative talent our city has to offer.
