During lockdown, many people have been using the time to reflect on what they want to do in life. If you’ve been one of them and are fancying a career change or even just want to learn something new, why not get yourself on one of Confetti’s courses...

Not only do Confetti run three-year Bachelor’s degrees, but they also offers foundation degrees across all curriculum areas – Music Performance, Audio and Music Technology, Live and Technical Events, Games Art, Games Technology, Graphic Design, Film Production, Television Production and Visual Effects.

Foundation degrees are a two-year alternative to a full Bachelor’s, and can be the best choice for many students, such as if you want to have the option to graduate with a Level 5 qualification and start your creative career early.

Students who choose a foundation degree top-up to a full Bachelor’s degree after their two years’ study, so if your grades aren’t looking overly great then a foundation degree is the perfect option, and can even be topped-up to a full honours degree later on. Or, if you’re taking a punt at a new career, doing a foundation gives you two years to be fully confident on doing the subject and the subject.

When it comes to types of degree, it really is all about personal preference, but foundation degrees can be a really handy option for people. For example, former Confetti student Courtney Nettleford studied a foundation degree in TV and Film Production Technology, and after her foundation course decided against topping up with a third year, and instead headed straight into industry to become a Production Assistant at the BBC.

Courtney’s success story is just one of many from former Confetti students on foundation degree courses. Have a gander at Confetti’s website to find out more about the courses on offer, and perhaps even take a step towards a career in the creative industries. Now more than ever is a great time to choose to study and develop your knowledge of and interest in a particular area.
