After over a year of various lockdown restrictions, Nottingham is finally starting to regain a sense of itself. And with further restrictions set to ease later this month, people will soon ben able to sit indoors at restaurants and bars, as well as visit entertainment venues like cinemas, bowling alleys and play areas.

Over the past fourteen months, Nottingham has seen 70% of small businesses temporarily closing or unable to trade because of the Government's COVID restrictions. Unfortunately, this has seen 4% of small businesses in the Midlands closing permanently. However, with the reopening of bars, restaurants and entertainment, as we head into the warmer summer months, Nottingham’s businesses will be hoping to bounce back stronger than ever.

It's In Nottingham’s continued work to help support local and independent businesses has not gone unnoticed throughout the pandemic, with the business recently putting together the #LetsGoNottingham campaign: an online scheme that aims to showcase the best businesses Nottingham has to offer. From bars to vintage stores, to independent cinemas, It’s In Nottingham are highlighting these wonderful businesses to ensure there are no more closures or loss of revenue for these wonderful Nottingham businesses.

This campaign aims to get people talking and sharing their wonderful experiences with the local businesses in Nottingham, whether that be posting an Instagram photo whilst out for a meal using the hashtag or if you've experienced a wonderful or helpful piece of customer service, praise this with a review using the hashtag #LetsGoNottingham. To share your support, and to help unite the wonderful community of Nottingham.

Whilst you are out and about enjoying one of Nottingham’s finest establishments make sure safety is at the forefront of your mind, and whilst these businesses are open once again the government guidelines are still as important as ever.

It’s In Nottingham urge the community to continue practising ‘Hands, Face, Space’ so we can all continue to enjoy this wonderful city.
