CODA

After a certain bit of slap-induced controversy at the Oscars, the big winner of the night - CODA - was sadly overlooked by the general public. But if you’re wanting a dose of heartwarming, optimistic fuzziness, this year’s Best Picture - boasting quality performances from Troy Kotsur and Emilia Jones - is well worth checking out.

CODA is showing at Bonington on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 May

Wild Men

Anyone looking for a bit of dark humour, make sure to hit up Wild Men, the new black comedy from Danish director Thomas Daneskov. Exploring the problems with modern masculinity in a truly unique way, this is unlike anything else on offer this month. And with the film picking up a flawless critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, you know you’re in for a great time.

Wild Men is showing at Broadway from Friday 6 May

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

If you thought Spider-Man: No Way Home was mad, prepare for things to get even madder. Directed by Sam Raimi, master of the audacious, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promises to offer a proper mind-bending adventure on the big screen - changing the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for good. Despite the trailers and teasers that have been released for this one, no-one really knows what the hell to expect - and that can only be a good thing.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is showing at Arc Beeston, Cineworld, Savoy and Showcase from Thursday 5 May, and Bonington from Friday 27 May

Love multiverses but hate Marvel? Make sure you check out Everything Everywhere All At Once - the bold, inventive new movie from the brains behind Swiss Army Man, the Daniels. Described as “pure movie magic” by one critic, this Michelle Yeoh-led, reality-altering ride is guaranteed to be one of your favourite films of the year.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is showing at Broadway from Friday 20 May

Lawrence of Arabia

You might have heard of this hidden gem, but we thought it’s worth mentioning anyway. Whether you’re wanting to revisit a classic or fill an embarrassing gap in your film knowledge, Showcase have got you covered.
