Hopology

Hopology was the first beer shop to open in Nottingham four years ago and since then they have witnessed the revolution in craft beer across the city.

They sell over 400 bottled and canned beers from across the UK, USA and Europe (Belgian and Dutch beer is a particular speciality) as well as supporting the local micros. They also stock cider and wine, but all of it is sourced from independent producers.

In terms of British craft beer, they stick to the smaller independents who often produce the most interesting beer. This year they’re selling a different local cask ale every Friday and Saturday to take away in growlers.

During Craft Beer Week they’ll have a beer tasting (probably European and sour - dates tbc) plus some meet the brewer action. Check out their Facebook and Twitter for news.

They scooped the award of Independent Beer Retailer of the year in the Off Licence News awards. They have free parking at the shop and are opposite the bus stop from town.
